Hengelo, The Netherlands - Dutch throwers Erik Cadée and Rutger Smith will face a severe test of strength at the 29th edition of the FBK-Games on 29 May.

The pair, who have already shown strong form in this early season, will take on some of the world's finest discus throwers at this IAAF World Challenge meeting, including German Robert Harting, Piotr Malachowski Poland, and Lithuania's Virgilijus Alekna, whose credentials speak for themselves.

Harting is the reigning World champion and runner-up at last summer's European championships with a career best of 69.64 while Malachowski is the European champion, reigning World silver medallist, Olympic bronze medallist and the winner of last year's inaugural Samsung Diamond Trophy in the event with a personal best of 69.83. Alekna's credentials however tower over both - a two-time Olympic and twice World champion, the 39-year-old has a best of 73.88 to his name, placing him firmly in the No. 2 position of all time. Age hasn't caught up to the Estonian, who took bronze at the Beijing Olympics  in 2008.

Cadée, 27, is off to his best start ever. In Chula Vista, California, he improved his personal best to 66.85m, currently the farthest in the world in 2011. For Cadée and Smith, who has a 67.63m career best, the 68.12m Dutch national record set in 1991 by Erik de Bruin is the immediate target.

Smith will also compete in the Shot Put competition which will take place the day before the main program on the Burg. Jansenplein, located in Hengelo's city centre.
